1 dot possible?

Hello,
I am TrackIR4 with Clip and ProClip owner but have a following problem:
I would like to skip wearing any headset/vector/clip as I hate to have something on my head and ears. And because I need only X and Y axes working (not Z), I bought reflective tape as I have read oryginal dots can be placed on forehead. In TrackIR software basic settings I have to choose between Clip or ProClip so I set just Clip. I taped 1 piece of tape to my forehead and in "Camera" window (window above "Left") I see that tape tracked very well but in the main window view yellow crosshair does not move at all.
So my question - what should I set up to make it working and if it's possible to have only 1 dot taped to achieve working X and Y axes (I belive 1 dot should be fine as in camera window TrackIR sees dot properly).
