Trackir picking up alot of back ground light

Ok so I have had my trackir5 since 04/14 and its been in the same spot and never had a probolem. But today its just going crazy its jumping all over the place and I have no clue what to do I have already uninstalled and reinstalled with no joy.

From the looks of it, it may be a window that is letting some light through. Have you been able to pinpoint the source of the light?
The best way to get your TrackIR working again would be to block what ever is causing the light behind you and increasing your light filter threshold.

The light is coming from the window but what I don't understand is why it just started doing it I have never had to problem until now.

It could be the changing of the season that is causing more light to come in. I know where mine is at, I get light interference problems this time of year. The sun being in a different part of the sky along with the leaves falling off of the tree in my front yard allows a significant amount of light in that isn't there for half of the year. Is there anything that could have changed the amount of light that comes through that window?

Yeah I bet your right it just had me worried I love my trackir and hated the thought of playing without it. But I blocked my window and its working fine now so all is good. Thanks for the help!

Glad to hear that you got that taken care of. It is hard to play without it once you are used to it.
