Win 7 x64 driver install & Driver signing

On Win 7 x64 machine can't install the newer version x64 drivers. It does not recognize digital signature. Older ask if ok to load unsigned driver and it loads ok. On x64 drivers get the following status:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)
Tried a couple of methods found on internet to allow unsigned drivers but they did not work. Another Win 7 x64 machine I have loads the drivers ok.

Hello Doctrack,

I'm looking into this issue with another customer as well. Would you please submit a ticket with me at help.naturalpoint.com? That way we can locate the best solution and post it here after it is resolved.

I will try to submit ticket, looks like it take a separate log in. I can tell you the issue has something to do with the latest Win 7 updates for 12/9/2014. I removed them now I can load the driver.

Hello doctrack,

There was an update this week that was the cause of the problem. The update would need to be manually removed. The best solution is to remove the TrackIR software and NaturalPoint drivers from add/remove programs. Then you need to manually remove Windows Update KB3004394. Once you restart the computer, you can install the TrackIR software and drivers again. That should solve the problem.

Just purchased TrackIR 5 and I'm curious whether this issue has been solved. No sense in fighting with the machine/software if this issue is still around.

KC,

Microsoft pulled the update when they realized it was causing driver issues. If it wasn't downloaded before the pulled it, you don't have to worry about it. It mainly caused people with automatic updates to have this trouble.
