Does TrackIR conflict with FRAPS?

I fly "Wings Over Flanders Fields" and lately I have been trying to do screen caps. with FRAPS. Before launching WOFF, I check TrackIR. The cross-hairs and the head icons function fine. I start up WOFF, I check off my mission parameters and click "Go To The Field" which puts me in the cockpit. I always look about to see what's happening on the field. TrackIR works fine. But within seconds of take-off, it locks up. The green light on the camera/projector turns amber, and there's no tracking motion at all. Then I close out of WOFF and re-visit the TrackIR UI. It remains locked up.
I've unplugged the ProClip USB and re-connected. The green light instantly came back on. I re-launched WOFF and, once again, got about 20 seconds (before wheels up. this time) before it went amber again.
I get the feeling that TrackIR conflicts with FRAPS since it worked pretty well when FRAPS wasn't on. Anyone else have this feeling?
