TrackIR w/ Stickers on Headphones

After a few days use, the T shaped clip thing is not a long term solution for me, a hat/visor proved way too hot (humidity here is at 98%, 32C), on top of everything else, so I was wondering about taking the existing trackclip, cutting off the three curved reflectors and attaching these to my headphones (which are also bulky, but leather lined, so I can't attach the trackclip "as intended" without spoiling the lining). One on the left ear, one on the right ear, and one on top of the head spar, there'd be plenty visibility clearance, but would the IR sensor still calculate correctly, or is it expecting the dimensions of the reflectors as on the trackclip itself?

The other option I was thinking was a google-glass like spectacle frame without the glasses, and attach the 3 reflectors to the frame? (middle top, bottom left and bottom right).

The TrackIR is expecting the dimensions of the TrackClip.

I suggest purchasing a TrackClip Pro if you want to attach something to your headphones. The TrackClip Pro attaches to your headphones and does not require a hat.
