Hello! I have been happily using my trackir 5 for the past 3 years without problem. I built a new computer last week that is somehow conflicting with the trackir. I installed the software and drivers first, then plugged in the device per the installation instructions. When it's plugged in (i've tried USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1 and a USB 2.0 powered hub), windows hangs when it starts (simply freezes at the "starting windows" screen or there is a blinking cursor in the top left corner after the motherboard posts). As soon as i unplug the trackIR 5, windows boots without issue. I've tried both the trackIR 5.2.2 and 5.2.1 software.

System:
Asus x99-A USB 3.1 motherboard
Intel 5820K (stock speed)
NZXT Kraken x61 closed loop water cooler
Corsair Dominator 16GB 2400 MHz RAM
Sapphire Tri-X 390x GPU
EVGA Supernova G2 PSU
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD
Western Digital Black 2TB HDD
Lots of other usb devices plugged in that are working fine and were working in conjunction with the trackIR on my old computer (CH HOTAS, CH rudder pedals, 2 thrustmaster MFDs, 1 keypad, 7-port powered USB hub)

I want you to unplug the camera, uninstall the software, uninstall the drivers, delete the installer and then reboot. Once rebooted, I want you to download v5.1.3 (for testing) and then right-click the installer and run as an administrator. Let me know if that fixes the problem.

Unfortunately, i'm getting the same behaviour with the 5.1.3 release.

Any other thoughts?

Is this after a full restart or boot, or are you waking it from "sleep" or "hibernation"?

Thanks for responding and continuing to help.

I'm starting to think that the issue is with my ASUS X-99-A motherboard and power management of the USB ports rather than having an issue specifically with the TrackIR camera. Not sure how to fix it yet, but when i figure it out, i'll be sure to post in case someone else comes looking.

Have you gone into the device manager and unchecked the boxes in the power management section for each hub? I hope you get it resolved soon.
