I've just received my TrackIR and I love it so far. I did have a question regarding the brightness though.

I'm currently using a light filter of around 175 with a brightness of around 11.

I can turn the brightness up to 15 without getting any additional interference. Should I do this or leave it at lowest brightness settings possible? It seems like increasing the brightness makes the camera pick up the reflections on my hat clip as "larger" on the grid. Am I correct in assuming the smaller the green reflections on the camera view the more accurate the tracking will be?

Or on the other hand should I go ahead and just turn the brightness up as far as I can without interference to make the green reflections from my hat clip as large as possible? Thank you.

It's more important that they are green and not red. Larger or smaller only impact it once they become too large or too small and turn red. If it works at 11, then it would be a good setting to have it at. Having the brightness up helps tracking at a further distance, so it isn't much of a concern unless you decide to change the distance between you and the TrackIR.
