Hardware Not Detected After Updating to 5.3

I have had my TrackIR for about 2-3 months now and I haven't moved the camera or unplugged it since then. I was playing and I wanted to adjust some curves, then I saw the update and grabbed it. After installing the update and the system had restart, starting up TrackIR doesn't detect my hardware anymore. I was literally using it within a minute before downloading the update, now it doesn't work. I tried restarting the system again but that didn't work. Then I tried unplugging the camera and PRO clip, plugging back in, and starting up the software, still no dice.

I would love to get help with this, haven't found anything online on how to fix. I would hate to see something I just spent so much money on not be working anymore because of some software update.

darklyt750,

It sounds to me like the drivers didn't get installed correctly. If you would please create a ticket with me at help.naturalpoint.com I would be more than happy to get this resolved for you.

I concur. Everything was fine until updating software. Now my hardware is not detected. I reinstalled drivers and changed USB port but with no luck. Using Windows 10 Home Edition. Would appreciate any help :)

Janes,

Have you created a ticket at help.naturalpoint.com? That would be the best course of action to get it running correctly right now.

Same problem here.

1. Trackir 5 working ok ... updated driver and it might as well be switched off.

2. Deleted all drives and unplugged TR5. Reboot computer.

3. Re-installed latest driver and plugged in TR5 .... software up and running but TR5 dead.

4. Op system Win 7

Hello,

I want you to unplug the camera, uninstall the software, uninstall the drivers, delete the installer and then reboot. Once rebooted, I want you to download the installer (http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/downloads/) and then right-click it and select "Run as administrator". After the install, fire it up and let me know if it corrects the issue. If it doesn't, please create a ticket with me at help.naturalpoint.com so I can address these issues individually and find a proper solution.

Regards,

It's all useless , on the forum a lot of people who are experiencing this issue, to be addressed individually makes no sense. The answer needed for many. Give the option to download previous versions , or put separate USB driver.

I was able to install the USB driver using v5.13. But this driver is not digitally signed, I had to disable digital signature verification of drivers in Windows.

As we are working through changes internally handling these individually has been the best option. I need to be able to track the issue as well so I can prevent it from happening in the future.

The drivers included in our older packages are digitally signed, and you shouldn't see that issue. If you would reach out to me directly by starting a ticket at help.naturalpoint.com I'd be more than happy to get you set up with out latest driver package.
