Problem with version 5.3.0

I had the update 5.3 avaliable today and download it. After installation, my track ir was not recognised in the track ir software. The TrackIR is detected by windows, but not in the trackir software.

I didn't have any problem with the version 5.2 final. I have to re installed it if i want my track ir work.


Here is what i did.

Run track ir software v 5.2 final.
See the update and click on the update button which send me on the download site :
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/downloads/
I run the installation.
At the end of the installation, the PC reboot without asking me anything.
On the desktop, i run the trackir software. It was the last version 5.3, but my trackir was not recognised.

I tried to uninstall, reboot PC and re install with the same problem. I tried to execute the installation as an administrator without sucess.

The solution was to go back in 5.2 final.

Phoenix,

Did you try to change the USB port it was plugged into to re-initialize the device? Have you tried removing 5.2 completely and then downloading the 5.3 installer and doing a clean install instead of an in place upgrade? The PC may have rebooted because there was an open instance of TrackIR when you tried to do the upgrade, which may also be the source of the issue.
