new v5.3 installer

this is 71st Mastiff

there seems to be a problem with your new installer, its does not uninstall the older version and it double installs itself on some PC's

I'm getting a lot of tech reports and issues to help people with installing issues of your new track ir 5 v5.3.0.

it seems that the installer doesn't allow people to direct itself,

also when people have deleted the defaults profiles and added their own , the pull down list in the GUI still displays all the deleted profiles.

I have my developer taking a look at the installer first thing tomorrow. He's out on holiday today. Could you clarify what you mean by "the installer doesn't allow people to direct itself"?

As for the profiles, are they making changes in the old location "C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5\Profiles" or the newer "%AppData%\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles"?

I would advise them to try setting up the profiles in the newer location.

yes I just happen to remember you guys also put the profile folder in this area,

C:\Users\*name*AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles
fixed.
as far as the installer it doesn't look out side the C:\ folder and installs itself in programfiles(x86)

I thought the new track ir is 64bit?

if not it would be advisable to put it in its own folder as C:\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5

The drivers are 64-bit, but the program has not been updated to 64-bit yet. The APPDATA location is the correct place to store the profiles,
