I'm with you. Any one have a profile we can use to download? I'm printing off the manual and am going to play with it some in the next few days. Right now I know it needs tweaking! I really can't make it useable "JUST YET" but can't wait until I do!

Hi there, I just bought the trackir2 through a place here in NZ and was catching up on all the messages regarding it....

Has anyone actually come up with good settings for FS2004 at all??
I tried it out for the first time last night, and once I got used to it it was great,, way too sensitive, but great all the same....

The only problem I had was trying to set autopilot height speed etc, evemn if I used the slowdown hotkey I still had major problems managing to increase or decrease settings on the virtual panel....

So thats why I thought I would leave this messagge to see if anyone had worked out some good settings etc

Well, if you haven't gotten the sensativity right then just keep playing w/ it. I did and I have it to a point now that I actually can use it pretty efficiently. What I did to get it to settle down was set the smoothing all the way up, the speed all the way down, and I also physically moved the track ir unit back and attached it to the wall behind the monitor to decrease the angle that it senses my head motions. And remember about those head motions, (and these are all problems that I've had) you need to sit still because yes it is tracking your head motions but that is all relative to that point on the top of your monitor (or on the wall). I find myself getting into a simulator and trying to counteract the forces of flight by tilting in my computer chair and that just screws everything up. Anyways, I stand by this product. It's the best thing that's happened to my (real life) flight training and I would recommend it to anyone...but I am having a different problem that I need help with. I can't set anything in the cockpit in single increments anymore. I think that the track ir program messed with that function but I don't know how to fix this one. I need some help. I found that the Progressive setting works pretty well for me.

I am using a pair of i-Glasses head mounted display. I am also having a nightmare with the settings on TrackIR3 Pro, Too sensitive. What I would like is to turn my head in the x-axis and the view changes almost exactly.

Im a long time user of TIR started with a TIR1 and moved to TIR2 and now the TIR3 Pro is on the way, I play all the flight sims that use tir and found that with Fs2004 I like the default progresive option from the drop down box on the motion tab.

Try that but also remember with TIR units what works for one doesnt allways work for another its a very subjective piece of equipment as we all sit at our computers in diffrent place with height and distance and this will make a diffrence to profile

Chris if you set your TIR 3 Pro up to do how you would like it in your post, then you wouldnt be looking at the screen when you looked L & R.
