Intermittent stutter and strange lockups

Hello.
I just purchased a TrackIR5 unit (bundle with the ProClip) directly from NaturalPoint, to use in my simulations after running some free tracking options or mouselook for many years.
I was really looking forward to the accuracy i heard about, but i am now disappointed. Sure it is fast and accurate, but i have a large problem in ALL titles i've tried, IL2, ETS2, Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom, Rise Of Flight, Elite Dangerous etc. The same problem is on all of them.
I run these VSynced at 60fps, and panning with trackir is really smooth, then sort of starts to stutter, panning becomes jerky and it is like it is not getting enough bandwidth or frametimes right. Then it goes away. Sometimes it is a small stutter, sometimes it is like panning the camera through thick syrup for a minute or more before it becomes fluid all of a sudden (IL2 does this).
I use the ProClip with a TrackIR5 unit, received no more than a few days ago, on Windows10 x64, using the latest 5.3 software and bundled x64 driver.
ProClip is hooked to a different USB than camera, and both ports are directly on the computer mobo (not a hub)...
Stutters intermittently (very seldom, but still happens) when looking around the trackir software screen preview, but if i turn on camera info view, no stutter at all and the 3 dots is clearly seen with no light bleed at all and fps reads as 119.9-120.0 constantly.
So i assume camera is working. I am starting to think it may be an issue with threading or something, as different apps all have problems, but it is more like it gets stalled for a brief moment (the camera tracking) and chugs along, then gets back to speed.
For reference i run a brand new I7 6700k (new Intel chipset) with DDR4, hyperthreading is on so 8 logical cores.
Could there be something going on there? Any known issues with TrackIR and new I7/Win10?
I tried running as admin and setting high priority on tir process, no luck on that.
I am getting a bit annoyed that it has problems, as i was looking forward to it.
It was also an expensive buy for me, as being in Sweden, i had to fork over an additional 100 USD on top of the price in customs and import fees.
So with that investment i was really hoping for an updated and smooth working experience. Also, if looking at driver installed with software, the propertiees says it's date is 2012... So the USB driver is not really passed through the Win10 cert programs? This worries me as well, as it might break support completely.
Anyone? I don't want to send back my device (as it is even MORE expensive to me, with freight being the way it is) i just want it to stop chugging once in a while and just work .
