Virtual cockpit drifts, hard to operate instr

I purchased a trackir 3 pro yesterday for use with FS 2004.
I downloaded the latest driver from the naturalPoint website, it installed without problem. In FS2004 virtual cockpit view, I can look around by moving my head, it's just great to able to look around !
I have one problem though: the dashboard seems to drift a little, even if I keep my head still. This is not a problem to view the instruments, but it makes it a hard to operate the instruments in the dashboard (heading bug, radio, ...) by using the mouse. Trying to hit a small moving target isn't easy. Any solution for this?
