HI I am trying to set up my sons TRACK IR when we open the track software and we press F12 to center it only centers for around 1 sec then starts to go crazy. What I can see is that when we look in the top left screen that shows the 3 little green squares indicating position of had piece, there is also a much larger green section to the right of this, is this some form of noise can the system be adjusted to rule out anything in the background?

That extra patch is interference. The best thing to do to help in the software is to go into the advanced settings and turn up the light filter threshold in the camera tab. If that doesn't work, you may need to track down and block out the source of the interference. It could be a window, light, or even a reflective surface.
