Offset viewpoints not working with TrackIR

Howdy all,
as you might know CFS3 supports multiple points of view (=gunstations) in an aircraft.
This is particularly usefull for third party aircraft which have an offset gunsight like many German planes.
Problem is, TrackIR doesn't seem to like these offset viewpoints and is just dissabled whenever the default PoW is not at center line.
Any workarounds or maybe a planned update in the future?
Or is it a limitation we have to live with?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Thanks a lot for the information, Jason.
And yes, I mean something like in the hornisse (what is technically just another pilot station)
The issue seems indeed be related to the x translation.
One of our own third party addons (see link in my signatur ) uses three pilot stations of which two are at centerline, both working fine when toggling around, and a third which is offset along the x translation which does not work with TrackIR.
No big issue really, got my device a week ago and won't miss it anymore
As you suggest, I tracked it down by editing a profile with a somewhat slowed down x translation axis what helps greatly with aiming the offset gunsight, oh well, real time
You figure I'm quit enthusiastic about my TrackIR

I am assuming you mean gun-stations other than the pilot or another station that is offset that you can center by using a key press? Such as in the Hornisse? If so, yes it is a limitation of what we were able to do with CFS3. When we were able to add TrackIR support our options were limited to just the pilot station according to my tech guys.
You should be able to line it up by using the Vector 6DOF itself just like in real life. Let me know if you have any more questions Mathias.

You are working on MAW right? I want to talk to you guys about some cross-promotional ideas. Hit me up at my NP email.

I would love to bring MAW into the TrackIR family.

Matthias, are you not also referring to the possibility to move your head laterally (left-right, forward-aft, up-down)? You can do that with TrackIR in both CFS3 and FS2004 by actually moving your head, but only in FS2004 can you define the, what I would call, neutral point. So, in FS2004 I can move my seat up or down by applying the relevant keystrokes, and I can plane myself right behind an offset gunsight reticule. But in CFS3, if I want to move my seat up, I have to bend down in my chair, center the TrackIR and then sit upright again. Its not a big problem, but its a bit awkward.

Nope Hans, I was talking about something else, related to the multiple station feature in CFS3 which ain't available at all in FS9.
But you're right, shifting the eyepoint with the keyboard seems dissabled as well when TrackIR is active.
