I got the European version of the game. It's called DTM Race Driver 2 here in Europe. I have reinstalled
the game and then installed patch 1.1 and 1.2.
But the track-ir software doesn't detect the game.
I have the latest version of track-ir installed 4.1.026.beta.03b.

I have the Australian version, it is called V8 Supercars 2 here.
I too have patched the game to 1.2 and track-ir to 4.1.026.b3 and no joy for me either

Thanks guys. I will have our programmers look into it. Sounds like slightly different .exes or something.

I have the UK version and I re-installed it from scratch and added the patch but it doesn't seem to recognise my trackir (Trackir is at the latest version)

Is it automatically set to use trackir if running as I couldn't see any options for setting it?

I think you are right in that it is that same game for all countries but with cosmetic localization differences.

I have UK version with TrackIR 3, not 6DOF yet.

I have the same problem.

I have also noticed that ToCA 2 doesn't appear on the list of games within the TrackIR menu despite having run an update.

If you download and install the 4.1.026.b3 drivers then "TOCA Race Driver 2" appears in the profiles tab. Well it did for me, anyway.
The game itself didn't work though..

It doesn't appear in 4.1.025, even if you run "check for game updates".

Hmm. Well, in that case, sounds like a lot of hassle for no benefit

I'll stick with what I have until the matter is fixed then.

An email from Eric at NaturalPoint asking for a registry entry gave me this idea for a temporary hack:

Change the registry entry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Codemasters\Race Driver 2\NAME_APPLICATION
from whatever it is to:
ToCA Race Driver 2

The game still works and TrackIR is now active!
