ProTools & Logic - from potential purchaser

Hi,

Can anyone (admin?) tell me if I can use a smartNAV3(eg) with Digidesign ProTools and Emagic (now Apple) Logic on Mac OSX (Panther)?

Also, any advice on which software I do and don't need would be greatly appreciated - I would want to use a left and right button (I see people suggesting diy options - is there any reason why the smartNAV one is so expensive?), and preferably a ring so that I can wave my hand around rather than my head (I'm not disabled (yet) but in agony with hand, wrist and neck strains!) - any opinions would be very useful.

TIA, Dru

Hello Dru,

It seems you are interested in the SmartNAV for the Apple platform and RJ Cooper is our expert on that and handles all of our Mac systems.

His web address is rjcooper.com, he is very knowledgable and should have better input as far as which software you do and do not need for your Mac and what clciking options would best suit your needs for that platform.

Cheers,
Kevin
