I am thinking about buying the product (SmartNav) and I have the following questions:

1) have there been studies from an ergonomical perspective on how this device effects the neck and shoulder? Can the little movements of the head now cause RSI in the neck muscles instead of the arm?

2) can device easily be activated/deactived with a hotkey?

We have had feedback from users who have talked to their physical therapists that there is not any real risk of developing RSI in the neck muscles.

The key to this is becoming comfortable when using the SmartNAV device. You can also adjust the software to require very little movement to actually control the cursor.

Please note the user kept their device and was very satisfied.

The device can be activated/deactivated with a hotkey very easily. Pick a key that is within easy reach and then attach that to the 'Pause' function. Then whenever you hit that button the SmartNAV will pause, until you hit it again.
