Any news on the 45 deg. upward limit?

My hope was that with SP3 for SFP1, this issue would be solved. It isn't

For those who don't know the problem:

TIR (in my case TIR1) works in SFP1, but the view "up" is limited to 45 degrees. It's a major killer because you can't see enemies most of the time in a dogfight or look at groundtargets after the initial pass.

Is this a problem of the TIR software or is it a problem of the game (i.e. TK's problem, in this case, looking at TK's pace, it will be solved in about....eeeerh...10years)?

I believe it is an issue TK needs to solve.

He should be aware of the issue but has never responded as to when he will get around to adressing it.

FYI, I have TIR 3 Pro and beta tested both SP3 and WOV

Does it mean that TIR 3 pro doesn't have this problem in SF P1?

It is hard to get TK to do anything further with TrackIR. How hard can it be to get the uplook issue resolved?

I requested that he add vector support, but the game engine and cockpit models were not designed with 6dof in mind.

I asked that he at least allow zoom control via Vector, but he has higher priorities than tweaking TrackIR functionality

Streakeagle,

I agree that it is a shame that WOV doesn't have 6DOF. Sometimes the developers won't indulge us. It's a bummer, but at least we have 2DOF. Just make sure all of the developers know your preference for 6DOF with other titles. That's the easiest way to ensure support. Developers tend to listen to their fans.

Finally some good news... after so much time, TK patched the TrackIR support for the uplook using TrackIR to match the mouse viewing capability!

I am still hoping for zoom support, but I can live with the current fix
