software loading
I have had my Trackir for many years and have had a few comp probs that needed me to reinstall. However now when I am ready to start, I click on the trackir shortcut and the program starts fine but the software interface is not opening, so unable to make any adjustments or profiles and worse still it is running in reverse or back to front.
I have done,
uninstalling re loading.
rebooting.
different version of software.
but still the same out come, any thoughts lads.

Re: software loading
Hello,
Can you try removing the Settings.xml located here:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5
And let me know how it goes. Removing this file has fixed similar issues in the past.

Re: software loading
Sorry that was not the fix.
Though the .xml file was found in the location
C:\Program files(x86)\Naturalpoint\Trackir5

UPDATE
Found another older .xml file hiding in another location (never give up)
It was in C:\NaturalPoint\TrackIR5. must have been left over from older flightsim X days, as now playing Elite.
done a file hunt for "NaturalPoint" in File Explorer search and it found some older profile stuff.
Looks like its all fixed, thanks for you input with this problem.

Re: software loading
Glad to hear you are back up and running.
Can you tell me exactly which file you deleted? Good to know for future reference.

Re: software loading
it was just an older .xml file.( some how had stuff on C and D drive)
However this morning when loading it was iffy again, the software only stays on screen for a few tempting seconds before disappearing again, just long enough to click on TrackclipPro button to set that up.
As my tracker is 10 year old 4 have now put the oldest 5.3.0 back on and all seems ok at the moment

However even the oldest software interface, seems to shut down it's widow after a while, though the program is still running in the background is there a way to stop this ?

Hi Kevinskiee,
Is the TrackIR software crashing on you or getting minimized to the system tray? If it is going to the system tray, there is an option in the settings to prevent that.
Let me know if it is otherwise.

Re: software loading
yes it shrinks down to minimized after a few seconds, but you are not able to click on it to maximize, it just says program running.

minimize to tray is unchecked.
