newbie question about Zoom

Hi,

I just installed TrackIR5 and it works great in Arma 3.
Some things I would like to change but don't know how.

I'm flying a helicopter in Arma 3 and would like to zoom in and out quicker and more than it is default set.
In advanced settings I saw some handlebars for the Z-axis but if I drag and change one or 2 nothing happens.

So my wish is to zoom in quicker and more, especially to read the instrument gauges in front of the pilot or the surroundings.

Thanks!

Hi Mamo,

Thank you for using TrackIR and reaching out. If you’re still looking to adjust your zoom to respond quicker, I would suggest trying this solution:

In the TrackIR software app, under Advanced Settings choose the profile you wish to adjust. In the Motion Adjustment settings, change the axis to ‘Z.’ This is the axis that will be dealing with the proximity of your head in relation to distance of the TrackIR camera.

To adjust the sensitivity or speed of the zoom dimension, you will need to adjust the ‘Y’ Point values. An easy adjustment would be to click the green up arrow to adjust the overall Curve across all points on the graph. Hitting the upper arrow will increase the value of all points along the Y axis, increasing the head speed and in game sensitivity.

If you would like to refine that more to your liking, you can manually adjust the points on the graph by changing the ‘Y’ point values or dragging the points on the graph.

If you have any more questions feel free to respond here or send me a message!

Best,

Kai
