MSFS

I currently use TrackIR 5 with P3DV5 and Chase Plane. Thus I have had to change two files for this to work properly. Will this "modified" installation work in MSFS or will I require an "unmodified" version of the software on my computer as well. If so how would I accomplish this? Thanks.
