I know Optitrack uses bone mapping when it stream to Unreal, but how to handle character with different size from the source actor?
With Unreal retarget I am not getting anywhere.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
How do you retarget in Unreal?
Re: How do you retarget in Unreal?
Hi Fabio
Unfortunately, this is rather hard to do with a bone remapper, you will have to adjust the actual avatar in Motive, which can give rather interesting results.
Depending on what you are doing, what I suggest is use something like Motionbuilder as the go between, using its retargeter, then livelink that solved data into UE

I'd prefer not to use a third app in between, but maybe with some scripting in Unreal I can achieve this goal. Maybe cast the rotation of the Motive bones to another avatar can help or adjusting the mocap in Motive.
Does this work also in realtime? Thank you.
