Remote Trigger with Python and XML

Hi there,
Does anyone have an example of triggering a take record start/stop in Motive via an XML package with Python? Have been referencing the Data Streaming page - https://v20.wiki.optitrack.com/index.ph ... Triggering - and attempting with the Python "socket" module but have had no luck yet.
