Trackclip pro fake

Hello friends! I bought a tracker from another person. On the left is my old one, on the right is a new one. Please tell me, could the new one be fake?
Not that I doubt the legitimacy of the product that I bought (same situation as you, old to new), but my units look exactly like yours.
The old one has the yellow caps over the IR emitter and the new one doesn't.
I'd say maybe they changed suppliers/emitters along the years?
Does anyone have more info on this?
