"Wrong marker count" when recalibrating skeleton

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to capture data but for some reason I get the error in the title. Here's my process:
-Calibrate space with wand and set ground pane
-Apply markers to participant (Biomechanics-57)
-Participant performs specified pose, all markers selected, and skeleton is created
-System cues to remove calibration markers (total of 8)
-Markers physically removed
-Right click on skeleton and select "Remove calibration markers"
And where the problem kicks in is here. The next step would be to "Recalibrate from skeleton" and I have the appropriate markers selected, not a single one is missing, but I still get the error "Wrong marker count".
Anybody know the issue behind this? I'm using Motive 2.3 if that helps.
