I have recently installed on XP, I have MS infra red keyboard and mouse. The software initially installs sucessfully and runs for a while using FS2004.
After the computer has been up for a few hours the mouse function becomes slow and jittery, and takes increasingly longer to function. I can only restore the mouse when I remove the IR Tracker from the USB port (on the computer, not a hub). The mouse then returns to normal.

It sounds as if your system resources are dropping for some reason. I will be more than happy to look at this with you if you e-mail me.

FS 2004 is a very processor and memory hungry program, and depending on the add-ons you are using can easily bring your system to its limits.

Another note is that Win XP takes far more memory to run than any other operating system, depending if you have restore enabled.
Most users dont run Flight Sim 2004 in XP with less that 1Gb of RAM.
