There is nothing in the instructions that tells or shows how to turn off the ir light source in the TirGX unit it's self, at least not that I could find.

I would like to play with an active ir source but from what I've read you need to turn off the units ir source first.

Also on the side of the unit there is a hole about an 8th. of an inch in diameter, what is it?
Nothing in the manual about that either.

On the TRACKING page is a small button called 'illumination LEDs on'. It's just below the width slider. It's set to active (blue) by default. just switch it off (grey) and you're good to go.

Thanks Halstead, how about that 8th. inch phone jack type hole in the side of the unit?
