Hello!
We develop a 6dof object registration application for AR headsets(Hololens 2, Magic Leap 2) and we would like to test and validate the matching data from these headsets. We want to use some Optitrack cameras and IR markers for this case. These AR headsets have camera hardware for Depth data but these cameras work with IR dot projection and as i know the Optitrack cameras work with IR too. My question is, The Optitrack cameras can be used for this purpose and they can work well with this kind of noise? Thanks for advance.
Regards, Richard!

Your project sounds awesome! Optitrack cameras should work well with the AR headsets' IR camera hardware since they both use IR markers. While managing noise is essential, with proper calibration, it's a promising approach to test and validate the matching data. Good luck, and I'm excited to see how your project progresses!
