Sluggish Mouse

Hello Helpful Folks!
I received my first ever TrackIR (TrackIR3Pro) the other day. It has been installed and properly working using one of the customized IL-2 profiles from this website. I am very happy with the product!
I have noticed, however, since installing that after exiting the IL-2 game that my Logitech UBS optical mouse seems sluggish in responding as if my Dell system is [perhaps] temporarily busy.
For comparison, if I boot the system and not use TrackIR during the Windows XP session the mouse works perfectly.
Is there some setting that may be "residual" after exiting TrackIR that is causing this minor problem? I am almost thinking that my system might be still "swapping" resources/reading to the TrackIR port.
I should also mention that a reboot resolves the problem, and also as time goes on after I have shut down TIR things improve.
Anyone else experience this problem? Any solutions lurking out there guys?
Regards,
Mark O'Hearn
