Hi,

I just got my TIR 3 Pro unit and with the little time that I have played with it I can see that once I get the profiles, etc setup its going to be a great addition.

However, I was hoping to get a little help/suggestions from some people that have been using it awhile. For the record I plan on using it with IL2FB+Aces, LOMAC, FS2004 to start with.

Whats the best distance (as well as min/max) for optimal performance. I think the manual suggests 18-24 inches from the base unit to the reflective dot. As it is now if I lean forward a bit I can get the 24 inches with the bill of the cap I currently have the dot on. So I guess what I'm asking is...is it better to have it closer to the 18 or farther out?

So far I've only tried it with IL2. I've tried several of the profiles available here but the biggest problem I'm having so far is getting a smooth tracking on a target especialy if its at around my high 8-9 and 3-4 o'clock.

For some reason it seems like I need less head movment to look at my left rear than it does my right rear.

It occured to me this may do to the placement of my actual TIR base unit.

I have a 19' monitor that sits on one of those power surge box's with the rocker buttons for each plug in the back. This has worked pretty good for me as it sets the center about eye level. However, with the TIR unit on top I have to angle it down.

I have a bunch more questions, but hopefully I will be able to sort them out as I go along.

One last thing, if I start 3.11 software up, select the profile in enhanced (blue light on the unit comes on) then start the game. If I accidently press the hotkey assigned to Enhanced view the Natural point software will crash.
