Hi All,

I'm very new to Track IR and especially this forum. I'm really impressed with the way IR3 works with FS2004. As a VFR/Heli nut it has transformed the experience for me.

My question is this. I installed FS2004 and TRACK IR to XP Pro as the administrator. Both programs work fine for me. FS 2004 is a public folder as is TRACK IR. My son has a separate profile on the computer and that is also set up with administrator priviledges. He can use FS2004 with no problems. The TRACK IR program also drives the mouse pointer in Windows with the TRACK IR screen showing and when it's minimised. The TRACK IR will not drive the views in FS 2004 virtual cockpit however. I seem to have tried all the combinations to get it to work without success.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Did you install TrackIR before Flight Sim 2004?

Check in your Flight Sim directory and navigate to the modules folder and see if there is a module there called "TrackIRFS2004.dll", without this .dll file TrackIR can not communicate with Flight Sim.

Ensure that you have selected Enhanced mode before entering/starting FS2004.

If all the above fail....

1) Un-install your TrackIR software.
2) Navigate to the directory where you installed your TrackIR software and locate the folder called NaturalPoint, and delete this folder.
3) Re-install your TrackIR software and ensure that there is a check in the box for FS2004 during the install.

I am sure that the above will have everything working, if you are still having prblems please let me know.

I have been searching the forums.

I cannot get TIR w/vector expansion to work w/MSFS 2004 - no blue light.

It worked before but I had to reinstall XP and now I cannot get TIR to work w/MSFS2004. it works fine with CFS3.

I don't have the TrackIRFS2004.DLL in my FS 2004 modules folder.

I have downloaded the latest drivers [TrackIR_4.1.028.Final.exe] for TIR and installed and there is still no check box for FS2004.

I have cleared out the Natural Point folder and reinstalled- still nothing.

Help?
How do I get this elusive DLL to show up so I can play FS2004?
