erratic trim, course adjust, etc. values

I believe this is a problem with FS2004 software, but need some input. Whenever I use the trackir3 it works fine, but my elevator trim, course bug etc. are much more sensative than normal. this makes it very hard to control the airplane. I installed the update for FS2004 and it seemed to fix the problem, but about a week later the program crashed, and it hasn't worked right since. I tried reinstalling everything, but nothing worked. Help!!
