What setting for preferred object size ?

In the meantime I ordered and received the Track Hat. There is a preset for that being 200.
However when I move my head the way I would do in game, and in my normal position , I read in the tracking screen values from about 140 to 225.
Like I wrote in another thread I wear glasses and have to eliminate the reflections of them as much as possible. Should I set the preferred object size to the minimum reading, in the above example 140 ? Or should I leave the preset at 200 ?

Rijnton, I too wear glasses and have the TrackHat (I have the Vector on a seperate cap), I tried changing some of the 'Prefered Obkect Size' settings in 4.021 (Beta) and found that changing the size throws the tracking off a bit.
What I would suggest is to do what Ihave done turn on 'Light Filtering' and setting it at 95, that way any possible glare from your glasses is filtered out. You might have to change the filtering setting to suit your lighting conditions. Sccording to the manual going above 200 is not recomended.
Personally I prefer using the Vector (6DOF) to the track hat as the tracking is more precise than a single reflector in games that do not use the full 6DOF.

Thanks Barred.
So you advise to leave the Preferred Object Size to the default setting (for the Track Hat) of 200 and only experiment with the light filtering ?
Btw imo the reflection of the glasses is from the red LED's in the camera unit.

Rijnton my pleasure.
The light filtering is there to filter out the amount of light picked up by the sensor. As the reflective dots are designed infra red light the other colours from the spectrum are filtered and the reflector becomes the main reflective/source of infra red for the sensor.
It took me a while to figure that out (it will teach me not to read the manual ) as I said I had exactle the same problem that you have. If the reflection in the tracking option is any other colour apart from red then the sensor can get a bit confused, it has only happened to me once and that was when the remote for the TV was picked up.
Sorry for the spelling last night it was kind of late locally.
