Restarting computer with TrackIR on

When I have to restart the computer for any reason without having been able to close down the TrackIR, I get all sorts of problems with starting up again. Sometimes the PC doesn�t get past the XP introduction screen, and it may take a number of attempted restarts before I�m back in business. Besides, the computer seems slower then (although I am not completely sure). Is this a known bug?
