npusb.sys not found!

hi all
i have tir3pro and i tried to go back from the new vector driver to the old 3.12/3.13 versions
but when i plugin tir into the usb port and accept the windows found new hardware stuff i get the message that the file npusb.sys cant be found and i have to cancel the instalation, therefor the older drivers (3.12/3.13) wont work anymore.
i cleaned the registry of old keys and installed the software when tir is not plugged in.

to me it looks like there is a problem rolling back from the new vector drivers (i dont have vector just wanted to test them) to the older regular drivers.
so im using the vector 4.0.019 version at the moment.

how do i fix this to go back to the regular driver?

thanks , lz.

LZ -

The npusb.sys file should be version 3.2.0021.0 or 3.2.21.0.

I am using TIR3 Pro with Vector.

I have been (trying to troubleshoot) a problem a guy was having with his TIR3... however, we did a lot of work with adding and removing drivers... check out this thread: http://forums.naturalpoint.com/cgi-bin/ ... 4;t=000337

Let me know if this helps...

Duke

thanks Duke
yea i red this thread,

ayway i must admit that the new vector drivers work just fine for me, i also reinstalled the older 3.13 after i got the 4.0.19 drivers allready working and now the 3.13 is sometimes working fine and sometimes not.

anyway i just stop using the 3.13 drivers and keep on with the 4.0.19 vector that works just fine here.

thanks for the reply
lz.

EAF602_LedZep,

Un-install version 4 software after you have disconected your unit, and reboot your system.
Re-install version 3.13 and and carry out a complete un-install allowing your computer to reboot to remove any reg files and INF files.

Hopefully this has now cleaned your system.
Now re-install version 3.13 and let me know any error messages that you get and send me your install text file that is located in your TrackIR directory.
