TrackIR5.exe-Application Error

I have never been able to open the application. On startup I get this error with a Red X that reads "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.
I have tried reinstalling and updating drivers, you name it. Please help

Hello morg59,
The 0xc000007b error is a Windows error, usually indicating a missing or corrupt .dll. I would first check that you have the appropriate versions of .Net, DirectX, and the C++ Redistributables. For TrackIR, it is important to install both the x86 and x64 version of the C++ Redistributables for Visual Studio 2013 (

You may also try running the Windows System File Checker:

It can be challenging to determine which .dll is at fault. If none of the above steps resolve the error, you may need to reset or reinstall Windows to restore the missing Windows component and to allow the TrackIR software to run successfully.
