64 bit drivers 4.1.027 Don't Work...

or I did something wrong. But I have seen this problem before.

This is what I have done.

-Fresh-Installed my Windows XP x64 bit OS.

-Installed all necessary system drivers..then attempted TrackIr.

TrackIR Installation:

1. Installed CD then the drivers 4.1.027
2. Plugged in device.
3. Double Clicked icon and opens up but
does not detect device-no lights-
"then"
1. Uninstalled, unplugged device,
restarted.
2. Installed just the drivers
3. Does not detect device- no lights-

Anything else I should try?

Got it working.

This is what I did.

1. Chose a different USB port, installed the 4.1.027, then installed drivers from the cd.

False alarm. Seen the lights come on but there was a popup that said that I will not have any mouse control. Hmm I'll keep at it.

Sounds like something to do with detection of the device, falsely or otherwise.

What type of system do you have? Specs? Chipset? All chipset drivers up to date?

Let me know as I've noticed with the 64 bit OS is that it is a lot pickier then a standard Windows XP installation.

I finally got it going!

Made sure device was not plugged in. Installed cd. Then patch. restarted. Then unplugged the usb and plugged it back in. It askes for your cd driver files"Recommended". Installed those.. Restarted. It Works.

System Specs:

Windows XP Pro x64
Asus SLI-Deluxe A8N
AMD 64 Athlon 939 3200+
6600GT 128 mb PCI-X Vid card
SB live Digital 5.1 sound
