Hi all!!!!..

I just got my trackir 3 pro and my vector expension...

It looks cool, but it doesn't work in my games...????
Am I doing something wrong? I have hooked it up and tested it in the program, it is working right...
I started trainz 2004, it won't move the view, i still have to use the arrow keys....???
I started battlefield 2 with the special forces expension and that doesn't work either...???
I also tried vietcong2.... That would be a no go too...
Could someone help me please...???!!!!

What sold me on it, was on the trackir page I read where it said "IDEAL FOR FLIGHT, DRIVING, and STRATEGIC FPS"

I thought to myself cool... I play some flight games, but I love FPS games, Boy how my gameing would dominate on the battle field in battlefield 2!!!!!

So, I put out the loot for trackir 3 pro, and the vector exp. (NOT CHEAP)so it would give me more field of view... but, I don't have any field of view.....

SO, If somone has had this problem, which I am sure one of you has, please let me know how to fix it....????

Hi. I looked at the games that support Trackir, and both you mentioned in your post aren't on the list. So it cood be that those games shouldn't work. However Trainz 2006 is supported though. Look here:

Trackir doesn't just work with everything. It has to be supported by the game maker afaik.

What Coffee999 says is true, but I'd like to add two notes.

- Let us know what games you'd like TrackIR support in, here in the forums, and we'll persue it as best we can. (BF2 is definitely on the list).

- There are also some third party applications that will let you use TrackIR (ie, your head) as if it were a mouse or joystick. While this is far inferior to proper TrackIR usage, it does give you a way to tangle with games that aren't supported yet.

Well, that leaves me allitle bummed...
I bought it thinking that it would work with FPS games, It said so on the front page for trackir... but , as you are saying, than that means that there isn't even 1 title supported for FPS... then, why do they have it marked on there?

I know that i read that games had to be supported, I just thought that it meant for the full trackir device to work... I didn't know that it wouldn't work at all...???

why can't trackir write a program that will allow you to use head motion in all FPS games? it would sure pick up sale to all the FPS players out there!!!!

As for the 3rd party software, I will give a look, but have had bad expirience from apts. that aren't supported by the software company... I will check it out though, because otherwise I my trackir will be wasted....

Don't get me wrong, I really love my trackir, I just don't play a whole lot of flight sims... I play alot of FPS games. I am not talking trash about this company by any means, I would totally recomend them, for flight sim people...
I am just saying that I feel alittle cheated when I heard about trackir and went to there website and read about it saying that it was ideal for flight,driving,AND FPS GAMES... I also, read stuff saying it must be supported to get the whole trackir expirience, otherwise it would just be simplified viewing. I didn't read anywhere about it not working at all in games let alone that they list FPS,but don't have one game supported for it....

well, I guess i will have to wait for trackir to venture into the FPS realm... Until then, I guess I will be playing more flight sims...LOL!!!

ps, wouldn't it be easier to figure out a program that puts the trackir in the game, like a joystick, than trying to get every single game out there to allow trackir in the game...?
