Are you trying to plug the TrackIR into any USB port other then the built-in ones on the rear of the PC?
Do not use a USB hub nor use the USB ports on the front of the PC.

Hello, I have a trackir3 version 4.0.021 that I installed about a year and a half ago and at that time it worked flawless. Now about a year later I decide to use it again so I go to update the hardware drivers and I get the Blue screen of death.
So I decide to just uninstall and reinstall. Everything was fine with the software reinstall but when I plugged in the Hardware I got the normal"New Hardware detected" in my icon tray,but no light on the tracking device so I open up the wizard to install the new hardware, clicked the" install anyway" tab and ......GAAAAAHHHHH! Lock up and blue screen again! I am now scared to death to try and install this device again for fear of recking my computer. Any idea what could cause this. it worked beautiful a year ago?
