A couple of chaps and myself have noticed that when moving ones head left or right, the centre of the screen 'tears' briefly and flickers. Any chance you can look into this?

Try enabling V-Sync in your video card display setting. I remove the screen tearing by doing this with my X850. Hope this helps.
