I would like to know what files, registry keys etc need to be removed so that i have a complete trackir free system.
Need this information to troubleshoot.
completely uninstalling trackir drivers
Re: completely uninstalling trackir drivers
Remove any entries under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Naturalpoint
This will remove all of the Software settings.
(Running the Un-Install should remove these keys by default)
If the camera is working, then running the Un-Install should completely remove it from the system.
If the camera is not working and shows up as a "Unknown USB device" in the device manager, then clicking on it in the device manager and selecting "Remove" should be sufficient to clear any Windows USB associations for the device. (With a Reboot).

uninstalling does not remove the entries under hkey_local_machine .
Can i get a listing of all files installed and registry keys added during the installation process of the device.

Re: completely uninstalling trackir drivers
I'll agree with that, there is the ezusb stuff, and files that are also left in the inf directory. I'm also concerned that some of the services (system ones that you can't easily see..) are also left running. This is an issue the TrackIR team to provide some real focus on, I'm happy to run programs and poke around the registry to provide info. I'm also sniffing around the MS site learning about how USB devices are installed. I went through a simliar process with the Simkits card that do a similar thing to TrackIR (eg use a bootloader), it was ultimately resolved with a drive update (and was a XP specific issue).
TrackIR is a great product, lets not spoil it with nasty driver issues (I really really don't want to reinstall XP and flight sims and custom settings all over again).
