I have v5.5.3 but not working with MSFS 2024
I have v5.5.3 but not working with MSFS 2024
I have v5.5.3, but just can't get it to work with MSFS 2024.
I have tried starting before and after loading the MSFS2024.
I have tried running as normal and as administrator.
I have tried staring wearing the hat and not wearing the hat.
I have the latest Game Updates and see Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in the list.
My FlightSimulator2024.exe path is as follows, could that be the problem?
H:\XboxGames\Limitless\Content\FlightSimulator2024.exe
Any help appreciated as it's driving me nuts.

Hi Kym,
First, is the TrackIR working normally in the TrackIR software, before loading MSFS2024? The TrackIR software must be loaded first, and both the TrackIR software and MSFS 2024 either need to be launched as an Administrator or launched without administrative privileges. if you using the hat, make sure your TrackIR software is set to TrackClip. If you are using the powered clip, make sure you have selected TrackClip Pro in the software.
When you launch MSFS2024, does the right LED on the TrackIR camera turn on? Are all three Status dots in the lower right corner of the software lit up? If everything is working as we expect, you should see MS Flight Simulator 2024 listed next to Title, under the Device and Profile settings, at the upper left region of the software window.

H Jillian- thanks for getting back to me.
Yesterday I installed v5.5.3 and after posting my message here, I found that TrackIR had stopped working in MSFS2020 as well as in my Racing Sims.
I tried a fresh install this morning and that made no difference.
I have since copied my old "C:\Program Files (x86)\TrackIR5" folder back in place, not touching either "C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint" or "C:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint" folders and it' was all OK again.
I installed 5.5.3 again - and it broke again and then copied my old "C:\Program Files (x86)\TrackIR5" folder back in place and all is OK.
Not sure what I could be doing wrong but I'm happy to have it working again.

Hi Kym,
I am glad to hear it is working again. If the problem returns, I would note whether the TrackIR is working in the TrackIR software or not working at all. If it is working in the software, but it is not working with the games, it may be that one has administrative privileges and the other does not. Try starting both with administrative privileges or both without administrative privileges.

I hope it's OK posting here, but it's on the same subject.
TIR5 + Trackclip pro v5.5.3. The little red LEDs have disappeared but TIR is still working. Both green lights come on when they should and the lights in the software
show L-to-R green-amber-green. Cover any one of the clip 'emitters'(?) and amber goes out.
As I said, in game 'alles in ordnung'
The question is, is the camera about to expire? God knows how old it is. It's been a faithful servant.

Hi Ron,
If you are using the TrackClip Pro, it is normal for the red LEDs to be turned off. If you switch the tracking target to TrackClip to use a TrackClip, they should come back on.

Why then, have I seen the red lights since...forever?
That's something else in this world that I can't get my head around.

Hi Ron,
I am happy to help. Have you had any recent updates to your system (either Windows updates or updates to the TrackIR software)? If so, that may explain why the lights are suddenly dark. I believe there may have been a version of the TrackIR software where the lights did not turn off when TrackClip Pro was selected.

I am also seeing an issue, v5.5.3.x & Updated MSFS2024
TrckIR is showing all is good, display shows the x3 dots on the app etc.
RHS LED is visible
MSFS2024 starts, all looks great and then without explanation the RHS LED goes off and then no TrackIR until MSFS2024 is restarted.
I am also using Spad.Next, FSUIPC7, FlightPanel;s.io for StreamDeck, Navigraph & BATC
This happens at random times, sometimes all is good then others no.

When the right hand side LED turns off, is the TrackIR still detected and working in the TrackIR software? Do you hear a USB disconnection sound when the light goes off? Does the issue occur when there is a lull in movement or when you turn your head too far to the side so that the TrackClip/TrackClip pro is no longer detected by the camera?
One thing you may want try is making sure that your computer is not disabling the TrackIR to save power:
1. Right click on the start menu and select Device Manager.
2. Locate Universal Serial Bus controllers.
3. For each item in this list with the word “hub” in its name, double click on the item and go to the Power Management tab.
4. Uncheck the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” and press OK.
5. Repeat for all USB hub devices.
6. Restart the computer and try again.
