I just purchased the TRACKIR Pro and I'm thinking about purchasing the Vector Expansion. I was wondering what the main benefits are in getting the expansion. I'm not to clear on what it will do that the trackir pro will not. I currently have PF and CFS2,3. Would the Vector help with playing thoughs sims?

I cannot say about the CFS series as I have not installed them for a very long time and have never tried them with TIR.

As for PF then I would say yes because the Vector seems to be more presice tracking your head as there are 2 extra points of reference.I have even gone away from the PC for a while and come back and found that I am still centred when I come back.

To me it is worth the extra especially if you have a fast CPU and a TIR3 Pro.

Works great with Cfs3 in the 6Dof mode. I don't think there is any support with Cfs2.

In my opinion it only works slightly better in PF. I had the 2 axis set up pretty well in Pf and I personally don't notice a big difference with Vector Expansion.

So without it you can only move the view left or right, and up and down?

Yeah, the 6Dof isn't supported in PF, so you only get 2 axis,, but the vector software with the 3 dots (instead of the 1 dot ),allow for a little smoother panning.

If you like Cfs3 or Fs2004 though,, the 6Dof really rocks!!
Kind of spoils you for using only 2 axis.I hope someday PF will allow the 6 axis support.
