Hi,

Perhaps I should have posted this in the TIR3 group.

Any way, in sims like NASCAR Sim Racing, etc.. I don't need or want to look in the back seat (same with MSFS2004). I want to limit my view to 180 degrees max.

I guess I am too stupid to figure out how to do that <s> I brought up the Racing default profile (for instance) and then selected YAW and don't know what to do from there (yes, I printed out the help file .

Can someone please tell me how to do that? Everytime I move my head too much and end up in the back seat, it gets stuck for a couple of seconds and I can't compensate in enough time and crash.

It would be easier to explain if I could draw you a picture, but I'll give it my best shot.
In the profiles, as you select different points along each curve, there are values assigned to each of those points. This you already knew I'm sure.
But, to limit the travel you must do a bit of experimenting.
First, set up the first few points so it responds the way you wish it to. I'd set up points 2, 5, 10 and 20 to start with.
THEN assing points 30, 40 and 50 with the SAME value that you assigned to point 20.
If it's not enough to get you 90 degrees to the left and to the right (totaling the 180 you want) then increase position 30 a couple of points at a time ( and remember to copy 30's value to position 40 and 50) until you get the 180 degrees you want.
Then smooth out the curve so that it's nice and linear and smooth.
Numerically, this is how it might look.
2=1
5=4
10=8
20=12
30=16 (assuming that 16 is the value that create a 180 degree sweep)
40=16 (by assigning positions 40 and 50 the same value of 16, no matter how far you move your head, the VIEW will not exceed 16 in value)
50=16
So, find the value that create the 180 degrees, and build your profile around that number.
Have I confused ya yet? Hope not.
