I have not seen this mentioned but I have found that my trackIR 3 Pro w/ Vector is negatively effected by natural light style light bulbs.
I Have a small desk lamp behind me that has a 40 watt Natural Light style light bulb in it. If this light is on while TIR is enabled the tracking goes haywire and jumps around. This does not seem to be a problem with other normal light bulbs but the natural light ones cause the TIR to go crazy.
Thought you might like to know.

Natural Light Light bulbs, Track IR
Re: Natural Light Light bulbs, Track IR
I have problems with all natural backlight and have to close curtains. When my wife lights a TL light, it also degrades TIR performance (chaotic respons and movements). Maybe adjusting light filter settings help, but not for me alas. So I sit in the dark, and during the day I cannot use the TIR (Pro 3).

What I have done is to put a small bedside lamp on top of the monitor, then turn off all the lights in the room. I also make sure there is no light source behind me.
Works so much better and can still read the keyboard.

Re: Natural Light Light bulbs, Track IR
Since the sun is the whole day on my computer room i just close the curtains when i want to play a game. Always does the job for me, though usualy i need to track down the spots the sun is coming through.
And in the night i can just play with the lights on since it doesnt seem to affect the tir, then again my lights are mounted on the roof and are aimed at 2 different walls.

Would the idea of the LED pointing to the TIR unit solve this issue as well?
