Track IR5 5.5.3 not working

I just recently installed Track IT 5 with the latest update a couple weeks ago. It worked marvelously for 3 days on American Truck Simulator, now I can’t get it to recognize ATS at all. I have literally gone through every thread I could imagine. I just today tried uninstalling and changing the folder in my registry as a naturalpoint reply said, and that did not fix it. It works fine in the TIR software, picks up cameras and all. But I cannot for the life of me get it to recognize ATS. Neither of the green lights come on.

Yes. I checked the games list.
Yes. I uninstalled and reinstalled.
Yes I changed USB ports.
YES. It’s running as administrator.
I even checked the config file for ATS and changed it back and forth from “1” to “0” and back again and that didn’t fix it.


I am literally stumped. Computers aren’t my forte to begin with but this is genuinely upsetting me.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi AndrewGP,

Are both the TrackIR software AND American Truck Simulator running as Administrator? When you start ATS, does the TrackIR software list as the title at the top of the TrackIR software (under the serial number and profile)? Does the right LED on the camera turn green? If so, then the issue is likely with the configuration in ATS, and you may need to reach out to the developer for assistance in troubleshooting that particular game.

If the right LED on the camera never turns green, check in Windows Event Viewer to see if there are any entries that appear around the time you start ATS. That may give a clue as to what is keeping the game and the TrackIR software from communicating with each other.
