TrackIR not linking to game

The TrackIR software works on my computer but when I load Realflight Evolution or X-Plane 11 I get nothing.
Tried enabling TrackIR on the command line in realflight but it comes back "TrackIR not available"
On X-Plane I checked the box for TrackIR but... nothing.
Ideas?

Hi Marct,

Are you running both the TrackIR software and the simulator either with or without administrative privileges?
