TrackIR 5 no IR from camera

I've had my TIR5 for years now and it's always worked great but I fired up a game tonight with it after not playing anything that needed head tracking for a month or two and it seems like the IR emitters have died on the camera.

The status LEDs both go orange when I pause, and in supported games the right LED turns green when active. The TIR camera is in the device manager, and the TIR software shows the camera SN and the green status "Camera detected and connected". The left LED never goes green. I am using a trackclip, not the pro.

The software sees the camera is there, but I get nothing as far as what it can detect. No movement, no noise, no signal.

I was running 5.4.2 of the software because it has always worked for me, but I did try completely uninstalling it including the naturalpoint folders, disconnecting the camera and reinstalling 5.5.3 as well as 5.5.0 as administrator. I've tried multiple USB ports on the PC, but I don't have another PC to test on.

I used the camera on my phone and I cannot see any IR light at all being emitted from the trackir camera with it. I can use an IR TV remote and point it at the camera view, and it does pick that up.

Are my IR emitters dead? Is there anything else I can try? Playing with "IR brightness" doesnt do anything, but am I maybe missing a setting somewhere to turn them on and off? I have the trackclip option chosen in the target field and not the pro which is the only spot I can think of that would do something like that.

Hi baron556,

Do you see the red dots in the middle of the camera while the software is running? If not, then try toggling between the TrackClip Pro and TrackClip options. The red dots should be present if TrackClip is selected but they should go away if TrackClip Pro is selected. You can also verify that the IR brightness is turned up by going to the Camera Tab.

Kind Regards,
