Tracking markers on Human Face

Is it real ? What distance must have camera from human face (with attached markers).
And how much markers will allow for track.

Yes, it is an actual product.

This depends on how big the marker is. For a small 1/2" marker you can expect about 2 meters(M), with a larger marker, say 1" you can be 4M away. You can also open up the aperture in the plastic lens holder by just removing the lens and drilling it out, it is very easy, and that will let more light in. I only recommend doing that in an environment where there is no outside sunlight coming in. In this case you could probably get about 6M.

The field of view for the current OptiTrack cameras is 33 degrees, it is possible to use an M12 lens mount to change the lens and field of view on the cameras.

The 1 bit threshold image and/or tracked marker coordinate data can be extracted in real time at 120 frames per second from each camera. If you wish to sample at a slower rate, you may discard data.

We need to track human face with 18 markers attached.What distance must have camera from face for best result ?
